The Blue Cave
It is undoubtedly one of the most visited places on Capri , a uniquely colored sea cave. Sunlight passing through an underwater cavity and shining through seawater creates a blue reflection that illuminates the cave . In Roman times the cave was used by the Roman emperor Tiberius . The cave was decorated with some statues of the gods Neptune and Triton , many of them were found on the seabed and today are exhibited in the museum of Anacapri .
Mount Solaro
From the Piazzetta of Anacapri, near Capri Palace Hotel there is a chairlift to the summit of Monte Solaro.
The highest point on the island from where there is the best view of the island . The summit allows a view of the entire Amalfi coast. You can decide to descend by chairlift or on foot stopping perhaps at the Cetrella Hermitage, the descent takes about an hour .
Villa Lysis
It was designed in 1905 by Édouard Chimot in Art Nouveau style, commissioned by the French poet, Baron Jacques d’Adelswärd-Fersen, who made it his home. Built near the villa of the Roman emperor Tiberius , The villa with its charm was considered the ideal place to write poetry . Today it is a venue for private events and weddings.
